Professional Information
I graduated from Ringgold High School in 2003, which is in Catoosa County, GA. After graduation, I attended Young Harris College , located in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains! While at Young Harris, I was very involved! I participated in student government, where I was the Vice President, was a member of the Arts and Assemblies committee, participated in Gamma Psi Society, where I was the treasurer, and was the Yearbook Editor, just to name a few. I graduated Young Harris with my Associates of Science with an Education Consentration in 2005. From there, I was on to fufill my lifelong dream of attending the University of Georgia ! I plan to graduate from UGA in the Spring of 2007 with my bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Education with concentrations in mathematics and social studies! I hope to get a job close to my home town of Ringgold, GA and teach in Catoosa County. I would love to teach 8th grade math and maybe coach basketball or advise the yearbook or another club! Hopefully, in the next five years, I will have attained my Masters, and maybe a Specialist degrees and teach gifted algebra in Ringgold!
When I'm not in class, there are many ways I enjoy spending my time! One of my life goals is to visit every state in the Untied States, so as a result, I LOVE to travel! Some of my favorite places I've been to include San Francisco, Switzerland, Prague, Maine, and Paris, and had a great time traveling to Seattle this past June!
I also love photography, flamingos, working with the youth at church and being with my family. I am an avid sports fan! I love Georgia Football, Duke Basketball, and the Atlanta Braves! I love going to as many games as I can! One day, maybe I'll have season tickets!
Although I love being at the University of Georigia, I really enjoy getting to go back to Ringgold to be with my family and friends! I hate to be away and miss something exciting back home! I have a brother, Phillip, who is a senior in high school and plays basketball! Being that he is almost 6 foot 8, he's pretty good! I also have a sister who is a 7th grader, Courtney, who also plays basketball and the piano, and like a typical middle schooler, LOVES the phone! I really enjoy going to both my siblings school functions and games! Hopefully in the next couple of years, I'll be back in Ringgold teaching and traveling in the summers!
